Position Overview

Primary role of the Brand Manager (BM) is to develop and execute all product line strategies associated with growing the assigned Acme Electric brand. BM should be able to think strategically identify and develop new markets and product opportunities. The BM role communicates daily with end users, rep agents, regional managers, customer partners, internal departments, and VP’s. The BM will lead all pricing/margin activities and will work directly with the VP of Marketing to exceed profitability and revenue objectives for the assigned product brand/business.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The BM ultimately owns, drives, and executes the overall brand strategy for assigned products
  • Supervise pricing team members to drive profitability and sales goals
  • The BM’s team will develop and distribute specific sales reports and tracking tools needed to optimal market and drive product line sales
  • Guide/lead the Digital Resource Team to keep website site up to date as well as print catalog associated with assigned brand
  • Support business team in the development of Power Point presentations to successfully gain new business
  • Assist Retail and Electrical Distribution (ED) sales teams in developing needed tools to effectively support periodic product line reviews
  • Work closely with VP of Marketing, CC and VP of Sales (ED, Retail & OEM) to develop and lead channel and partner strategies and programs
  • Lead all aspects of all product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support
  • Identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • BM will be measured on supporting and developing all channels to market and responsible for overall cost and margin improvement of assigned product line
Skills and Experience
  • Must be able to think analytically and poses sharp problem solving skills
  • Must have a strong understanding of financial statements and be able to effectively interpret a P&L statement
  • Proven experience selling through distribution preferred
  • Product Manager roles in industrial manufacturing environments preferred
  • Some field sales experience preferred
  • Comfortable with speaking to customers and engaging large groups
  • PC skills require solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel programs, and SAP.
  • Self starter, able to adapt in fast paced environment, and be capable of leading multiple projects at once
Education
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Engineering General
