Job Overview

The Field Support Technician supports daily operations, including inventory management, productivity, and safety compliance. Responsibilities also include fleet repair oversight, coordinating inventory replenishment, and handling various project-related tasks such as transportation, meter installations, and inventory audits to ensure efficient and effective operations. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $68,100 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

 

A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by: 

  • Support daily warehouse operations, including receipt, documentation, storage, and distribution of inventory.
  • Achieve productivity targets to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment with clients and subcontractors.
  • Oversee fleet repair processes.
  • Maintain flexibility to perform various project-related activities, including but not limited to accurately inspecting  
    existing meters, installing new meters, transporting teams to installation sites, conducting inventory audits, and compiling reports.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a warehousing environment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to warehouse and field operations.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing safety and delivering high-quality, efficient work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) installations or meter reading is advantageous.
  • Ability to regularly lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting during shifts.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Forklift certification is preferred. Candidates without this certification should be willing to obtain it shortly after commencing employment.
