The Manager of Planning is responsible for managing and overseeing Hubbell’s strategic planning initiatives, directing the development and implementation of comprehensive planning processes and methodologies. This goal involves optimizing operational efficiency, driving growth, and aligning organizational objectives with effective resource allocation, ensuring that Hubbell remains competitive.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
· Developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity
· Coordinating resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel
· Creating and managing production schedules to meet demand and deadlines
· Overseeing inventory levels to maintain adequate stock without excess
· Analyzing operational data to identify trends, area for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities
· Working closely with various departments to ensure smooth workflow processes
· Predicting future demand and planning accordingly to meet business needs
· Identifying and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste
· Contributing to key decisions related to operations and process enhancements
What will help you thrive in this role?
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics or related field
· 6-10 years of relevant experience (required)
· Previous progressively responsible leadership or managerial experience (required)
· Strong computer literacy including advanced capability in Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-Look Ups), Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
· Exceptionally articulate in oral and written communications built on strong analytical skills
· Detail oriented, with excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills
· Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
· Results driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
