Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Demand Planner to join our team, focusing on a single business unit. The Demand Planner will be instrumental in driving the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, ensuring optimal balance between demand and supply, and aligning inventory with customer service levels and profitability goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across various departments.

A Day In The Life

 

•    Lead the Demand Cadence process for the designated business unit, facilitating monthly meetings to review forecasts, safety stocks and inventory levels.
•    Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, incorporating market trends, historical data, and sales inputs.
•    Monitor inventory levels and plan necessary adjustments to meet production schedules and customer requirements while maintaining optimal inventory turns.
•    Drive continuous improvement in the SIOP process through the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
•    Maintain the business unit’s master data harmonization dashboard and communication.
•    Participate in cross-functional projects to support new product launches, market expansions, and other strategic initiatives.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and planning software, along with MS Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • APICS CPIM certification or equivalent, preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience strongly preferred.
