Position Overview
Identify and develop new sales opportunities for the Aclara electricity meters in Europe with a main focus on the Electricity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Setup meetings with utilities, build relationships and promote Aclara smart electricity meters. Sales hunter. Develop a sales plan for the assigned territory and create new business in the territory. Monitor and report on the activities of Competitors. Create and deliver effective sales presentations. Acquire technical knowledge of smart meters, communication technology and software solutions. Coordinate with other Aclara employees to ensure successful projects. Meet and exceed assigned challenging sales quotas. Increase sales of smart meters in Europe.
Additional Responsibilities:
Continuously update assigned account information in salesforce.com. Develop sales strategies for the assigned territory. Attend industry trade shows assigned throughout the year. Use all tools provided by company to manage, adapt sales strategies and track account activities.
Skills and Experience
- Based in Europe outside UK / home office is possible.
- Self-motivated / self starter / sales hunter
- +5 years experience in the smart meter market in Europe
- Has proven relationships with utilities in Europe in multiple (+8) countries
- Advanced understanding of the industry-specific major utility market.
- Proven sales results in industry-specific major utility market.
- Good knowledge of electricity and gas metering and commination technologies
