Position Overview

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Tends one or more machines to assemble metal workpieces to specifications on production basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Other duties may be assigned:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Manually places parts in machine or manually assembles parts then inserts into screw machines.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Starts machine, engages automatic feeds or manually feeds machine and operates footpedal.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Inspects and measures machined work pieces using gauging to verify conformance to specifications.  Performs visual checks to ensure proper lettering, etc.
Skills and Experience

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
