Position Overview

SET UP B - Responsible to set up a variety of machines such as automatic line and various servit automation lines.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Studies workpiece blueprint or layout to visualize machining required.   Selects dies, method of holding workpiece, etc.
  • Positions workpiece or material and secures it to holding device such as table, chuck or fixture; verifies workpiece position.
  • Starts machine and manages feed of material.
  • Observes operation and makes adjustments as needed to meet production.
  • Periodically performs minor maintenance (i.e.:  checks oil lines, tightens nuts and bolts, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Skills and Experience

1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Use of a variety of measuring tools and ability to read blueprints.
