Job Overview
Assisting the Plant Management and employees with safety related tasks, administrative functions and training in a manufacturing environment.
A Day In The Life
- Regularly inspecting the workplace and production floor to identify potential hazards to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
- Create and implement safety plans and procedures tailored to the specific needs of a workplace.
- Investigating workplace accidents to determine causes and recommend preventative measures.
- Accurate, updated, and responsible record retention of all safety incidents, training sessions, and safety audits.
- Conducting safety orientation and ongoing training to employees regarding safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Create and update internal safety policies and environmental practices and policies as needed.
- Collaborating with management and enforcing adherence to safety regulations and policies.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelors degree or significant work towards a degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of high school diploma is required.
- Proficient with MS Office programs.
- Must be comfortable with problem solving techniques and data analysis.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and understand highly technical materials.
- Communications skills to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible.
- General understanding of Microsoft Applications.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
