Position Overview

Dedidated 3rd shift operator to the EXCILAS machine. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Reads Route Sheets to determine specifications required to run the job.

Activates boxing machine; cleans jams and loads boxes.  Labels boxes, shrink wraps finished skids, completes boxing reports, and maintains daily count sheets.  Ensures legibility of date coder, re-inks cartridge as needed.

Assists Set-Up Person to changeover boxer, boxer elevator, date coder and date stamps.

In the absence of Set-Up, will oversee production in the area.

Makes necessary shipping labels for production in the area.

Assists Set-Up Person with loading material onto EXCILAS table and filling penetrox™ tanks.

Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.  Notifies Set-Up Person of low supplies (ie. CTN-170, shrink-wrap, cartons, pallets, labels, general supplies, etc.).  Assists with adjustments and changing shrink-wrap poly according to carton size.

Skills and Experience

6 months or more of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
