This position will be based out of the Littleton, New Hampshire facility at 150 Burndy Rd. 

Position Overview

This is a new and important role to the Hubbell/Burndy Human Resources team.  The selected candidate will support the Burndy Human Resources Managers throughout New Hampshire in the locations of Littleton, Lincoln, Manchester and Londonderry.  Traveling, even on short notice, will be required.  Burndy is a 24X7, 4 shift operation and it is not un-common to provide support, even if virtually, on weekends and after normal business hours and it will be expected that the candidate will be open to being available when needed with exception of planned paid time off.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned for this role, however typically this person will:

  1. Assist with recruiting efforts (i.e. communicate with employment agencies, manage social media platforms, schedule interviews, arrange travel, attend job fairs and college recruiting events, etc.)
  2. Serve as coordinator and executer on all aspects of employee onboarding (i.e., orientation, I-9/e-Verify cases, create badges, provide benefits overview, coach managers on hardware/software requests, 90 plans and any training coordination.)
  3. Handle payroll functions where needed, manage exception reports, e-Time, ADP and provide coaching to managers and supervisors with regard to e-Time rules and requirements.
  4. Plan and manage company and facility events and support the HR team in providing clear and concise communications on company policies and procedures to ensure employee engagement and adherence. 
  5. Manage the temporary to permanent conversion process by partnering with Production Managers; track hours, eligiblity and coaching to ensure timely transitions.
  6. Perform various administrative functions (Open Enrollment/Benefits, maintain communication boards, personnel files, mail and communications).

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in a Human Resources or related field.  5+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources for a manufacturing company.  Must be able and open to travel to various Burndy locations in the state of NH.  Able to adapt your approach and pivot your skillset day to day from strategic, high-level program implementation to granular day-to-day needs to assist employees.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must, plus the ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization.



Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business
