Job Overview
The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives, policies and procedures for the Burndy, Littleton NH factory. Provides direction, oversight, and guidance to operations with the primary objective of eliminating workplace injuries and maintaining facility compliance.
A Day In The Life
- Develop and maintain written EHS programs
- Assist with the preparation, implementation, and sustainability of EHS Programs and Initiatives.
- Develop and administer programs to reduce work-related injuries and accidents.
- Track and report on leading and lagging safety metrics.
- Coordinate Job Hazard Analysis (JRA’s) and Risk Reduction activities.
- Assist with the implementation of Hubbell EHS Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Best Practices.
- Conduct facility assessments to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local EHS regulations as well as internal
policies, guidelines, and best practices. - Gather data, prepare and submit required safety and environmental reports (internal and external).
- Analyze EHS data and regularly communicate with plant supervision on ideas for improvement.
- Assist with accident, near miss, and first-aid investigations alongside the appropriate supervisor to identify incident
root cause and develop corrective actions to eliminate the hazard. - Supply EHS information to site personnel and Hubbell as requested
- Sponsor and provide guidance to the site’s Safety Committee
- All other duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
- BS degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental discipline; Prior work experience with relevant EHS duties can be
substituted for degree requirement. - 5 years experience minimum in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a safety related position preferred.
- Safety related certifactions preferred.
