Job Overview

Hubbell Burndy Lincoln is seeking candidates for the role of “Process Mentor”. The Process Mentor will work with Manufacturing, HR, and other department leaders to implement and maintain training schedules and programs. 

A Day In The Life

  • Work with Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisors, Human Resources, Quality Control, and other leadership members to develop training schedules and implement strategies.
  • Work with engineering and other support departments to develop and administer work center specific testing, to ensure employees have adequate training and understanding of all safety, quality, and production related tasks.
  • Maintain training matrixes.
  • Participate in recurring meetings with Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisors, and Metal Finishing to build a comprehensive training strategy.
  • Work with all departments including Safety, Quality, HR, Planning, Continuous Improvement, and Production, to improve new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Help facilitate and coordinate new hire CAT program (Competency Awareness & Training)
  • Work with production employees and management team to identify opportunities for employee development and advancement.
  • Work with group leaders and setup operators to standardize training practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to coach and teach employees at different paces.
  • Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, SAP, and VKS, for record-keeping and revision control.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work standard first shift hours (7:00-3:30 Mon.-Fri.) and occasionally be willing to work alternative hours to assist with training (1-3 weeks every quarter).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and/or a minimum of 3 years of commensurate manufacturing experience.
