Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Position: QC Loader-Inspector Rotating Shift’s

5am-330pm

7am to 530pm

9am to 730pm

Inspects verifies and loads every truckload of material to assure order accuracy and materials is accurately stated on the shipment BOL.

Work with supervisors and team leads to ensure quality product and accuracy of official shipping documents and deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

Familiar with product lines and naming methodologies.

Work well with others.

Assist in PPI investigation

Participate in improvement activities

Complete Logs as requested

Accurately tag product for shipping

Follow safety rules

Must be able to work a schedule that can vary daily.

Ability to work overtime (50 + hours per week) is required in this position

Use camera and computer

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Accurately enter data in SAP and complete materials transactions

Identify and constructively articulate deficiencies in paperwork

Skills and Experience

Ability to communicate effectively across a wide audience (Coordinators, Peers, Supervisors, vendors, Truck Drivers, Purchasing, Production Control, Leads)

Practice and promote safety at all times.

Ability to operate a forklift to load and unload material without damaging it

Recognize and report safety concerns
