Job Overview
A Human Resource Coordinator is reasonable for facilitating all key HR functions and programs. This includes issues raised by current and future employees in matters related to employment, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, and employment relations.
A Day In The Life
- Administers recruitment process to include screening resumes/applications, interviewing and applicant skill testing, completing pre-employment testing as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws which will require an ongoing commitment to continuing education and familiarity with changes in labor laws and regulations.
- Support department and companywide special projects as need.
- Be approachable and effective with ability to influence changes across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality, but also sensitive situations where information must be shared on a “need to know” basis.
- Partner will all levels of management and employees to communicate various HR objectives and procedures in compliance with company policy and employment laws.
- Work with and support the HR Generalist on various HR projects and tasks.
- Maintain punctual attendance and perform all work activities on-site during scheduled work hours.
- Complete special projects and all other tasks as needed.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- 3+ years’ experience recruiting for hourly manufacturing/industrial positions
- Results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment and manage time and competing priorities effectively.
- Prior experience maintaining data and operating HR information and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality and act with integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Union experience would be helpful but not required
