Job Overview
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and provided to the customer in a timely manner.
A Day In The Life
• Responsible for welding aluminum components to assemble structural forms.
• Layouts, align, fit, and weld fabrication and aluminum components.
• Read and understand blueprints
• Strong attention to detail regarding alignment, dimensions, and general inspection.
• Perform work involving close tolerances that require constant attention all while making adjustments to perform properly.
• Comply with all safety rules including PPE, JSA, and other safety procedures.
• Effective communication with Supervisors and Managers.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Qualification Requirements:
• Knowledge and technique of MIG welding.
• Must have the ability to read a tape measure.
• Must have ability to read blueprints and weld assemblies to comply with engineering standards.
• Experience with handheld plasma cutter a plus.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required with Vocational Training and/or technical education preferred.
Must be able to work 3rd shift and overtime
Physical Demands and Abilities:
• Ability to regularly move, twist, bend and crouch while working.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Stand entire shift.
• Lifting up to 35lbs.
