Position Overview

Maintenance Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction of Management, perform basic to complicated electrical repairs, troubleshooting and installations of all voltages up to 480V.  Perform repairs or installations which may involve plumbing, phone service, computer service, and or mechanical work.  Other duties will include, preventive maintenance on various types of equipment, performing various inspections as well as any repairs that are required.  Installing and troubleshooting PLC type equipment and ensuring that our electrical systems are up to code.  Calibration of process equipment to ensure compliance with ISO will also be a duty required for this position.  Familiarity with basic OSHA safety standards is required as well.Under the general direction of Management, perform basic to complicated electrical repairs, troubleshooting and installations of all voltages up to 480V.  Perform repairs or installations which may involve plumbing, phone service, computer service, and or mechanical work.  Other duties will include, preventive maintenance on various types of equipment, performing various inspections as well as any repairs that are required.  Installing and troubleshooting PLC type equipment and ensuring that our electrical systems are up to code.  Calibration of process equipment to ensure compliance with ISO will also be a duty required for this position.  Familiarity with basic OSHA safety standards is required as well.

Skills and Experience

  1. Must be knowledgeable in both theory and the practical applications of the following voltages:  120V, 240V, 480V, DC voltage, single phase, three phase, and control circuits. 
  2. Must be very familiar with the National Electric Code and be able to apply it to assigned work.
  3. Troubleshooting, programming, and installing PLC type equipment and circuits required.  The capability of reading, drawing, and understanding electrical schematics and ladder diagrams is a mandatory requirement.

  5. Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting all types of hoists, is required.
  6. Must also posses the capability to troubleshoot and repair other types of equipment and processes; such as steam controls, boiler controls, air conditioning systems, vacuum systems, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and motors. 
  7. Practical experience in the use of various meters, gages and other types of measuring devices required.

The rate for this role is $27.36 per hour.
