Job Overview

The Continuous Improvement Support Analyst supports manufacturing operations by assisting with improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation of Lean manufacturing practices.

Key responsibilities include supporting manufacturing floor layout updates, line configuration changes, material flow analysis, and process documentation. The Continuous Improvement Support Analyst assists with Kaizen events, data collection, and standardization efforts while learning and applying Lean Six Sigma tools under the guidance of experienced team members.

A Day In The Life

  • Assist in training and coaching process owners on Lean and statistical tools, methodologies, and techniques to support process management, measurement systems, and an operational excellence mindset at the department level
  • Actively participate as a member of the Continuous Improvement Committee
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, and benchmarking activities
  • Develop, modify, and maintain manufacturing floor layouts and line configurations using AutoCAD
  • Analyze material flow, operator movement, and equipment placement to reduce waste and improve throughput
  • Assist in the creation, documentation, and implementation of standard work, work instructions, and visual controls
  • All other assigned tasks

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience; required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (General, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering) from an accredited institution; preferred
  • Four (4) or more years of related experience within a continuous improvement function or manufacturing environment; highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; required
  • SAP business system experience; preferred
  • AutoCAD and 3D modeling experience; preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Highly motivated, self‑directed individual able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with and lead cross‑functional teams
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Strong computer and software aptitude with the ability to learn new technologies
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification; preferred

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to production noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to stand and walk on the manufacturing floor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs or platforms as required to observe processes and equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to perform visual inspections and read measurements, drawings, and computer screens
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels in both office and shop‑floor settings
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in manufacturing areas

 

** Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this position is $67,400-$84,200.  This position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
