Job Overview
PCX is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials & Inventory Operations Specialist to support our manufacturing operations. This will be a split role between the Knightdale and Clayton, NC, facilities.
A Day In The Life
Shipping & Receiving
· Receive, verify, and process incoming materials in the system
· Create and process outbound shipments
· Track and document all inbound and outbound shipments
· Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment scheduling and discrepancies
· Maintain organized receiving and shipping documentation
· Report and resolve damaged or incorrect shipments
Inventory Control & Accuracy
· Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and integrity
· Execute cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
· Ensure all inventory transactions are completed daily in SAP
· Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing/production of potential shortages
· Assist with annual physical inventory
· Maintain and improve inventory procedures and best practices
Material Flow & Production Support
· Manage material movement to and from production
· Review material requests and coordinate fulfillment
· Prioritize urgent production needs
· Ensure compliance with 24-hour receiving requirements
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control
- Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed
