Job Overview

The Quality Team Lead shall be responsible for daily tasks associated with assuring product Quality. This includes primarily performing duties in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS).  Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System to measure and control Quality in the manufacturing processes. Assists in shaping the Quality standards for all PCX products by way of documentation and processes for both the Quality and manufacturing teams. Assisting in the development of performance measurements and reporting requirements that set Quality metrics for each stage of the manufacturing process. Create documentation, establish requirements for records management, document control and control of electronic data from inspection processes. Working with manufacturing and engineering to raise awareness of the importance of Quality and train them in Quality procedures. Supporting the Quality inspectors and provide them with the tools to control Quality on the manufacturing floor.

A Day In The Life

  • Delegate tasks as required by Quality Manager.
  • Train new inspectors and technicians as well as maintaining team competency through reoccurring training.
  • Assist in the management of inspector and technician tasks.
  • Monitor QMS and help to maintain ISO certification.
  • Perform internal audits present findings to quality management.
  • Assist in coordinating external audits including but not limited to customer, UL, CSA, ETL and ISO.
  • Assist in finding closure for customer concerns and supplier corrective actions.
  • Help to create and update documents for all departments.
  • Monitor and audit inspection activities and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Work with team members to resolve corrective actions and to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure Quality and Manufacturing processes are followed.
  • Post Quality, Customer and Manufacturing Quality Alerts.
  • When required, perform non-conformance reports.
  • When required, record and close out BIM checklists and issues.
  • When required, perform in process, receiving, and shipping inspections.
  • Work with other departments to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that material and equipment have the appropriate documentation as per PCX standards.
  • Utilize and ensure compliance with project specific and customer required databases.
  • Assist in photographing, storing and circulating equipment photographs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be willing to work in various work environments and overtime.
  • Must have adequate visual acuity with or without the use of corrective lenses.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in group settings.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess work accuracy and good organizational skills.
