A Day In The Life

As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and engineering integrated electrical and mechanical systems Projects, in compliance with the NEC (National Electric Code) and U. L. requirements.  This includes large custom-built enclosures and skid-based systems to house electrical switchgear for modular data centers, power equipment centers and integrated switchboards for the company’s stated markets.  The successful candidate must have a proven track record in managing multiple concurrent projects in an independent environment. This individual will be tasked with maximizing project efficiency and profitability. They will help determine the scope and parameters for project design and implementation, identify project responsibilities, and develop the full project-plan lifecycle. Frequent interface with customers, associates, and suppliers are required, so excellent communication skills are essential.  Project Reporting and tracking as well as maintaining Budgets and schedules are expected regularly. Managing daily activities of Production Engineers assigned to each Project. 

What will help you thrive in this role?

•    BSME or technical degree required 
•    Minimum 4+ years’ work experience in a project engineering or project planning 
•    Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and specifications 
•    Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks
•    Experience in the integration of electrical and mechanical systems for custom applications
•    Design experience as it relates to commercial MEP construction
•    Design experience of fabricated sheet metal products 
•    Experience in ISO9001:2015 and ERP operating environment 
•    Good working knowledge of NEC, UL, and ETL for both low and medium voltage applications  
•    Working Knowledge of ASCE Standards 
•    Strong interpersonal skills for developing and functioning in a team environment
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills 
•    MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
