PCX Corporation is a leader in the offsite manufacturing of electrical and mechanical systems for Data Center, Commercial Construction, and Industrial/Energy markets. PCX was one of the early concept originators of offsite prefabricated electrical solutions. The primary strength of the company has always been the ability to engineer, integrate and fabricate complex electrical and mechanical systems into large custom enclosures or skid-based systems.
PCX Corporation is looking for a Shipping Associate to join our team! This position will be required to prepare and ship heavy, oversized PCX products on flatbed trucks.
A Day In The Life
- Install protective wrap and packaging materials on very large electrical equipment
- Safe and competent Scissor-lift use(onsite licensure required)
- Using fall protection appropriately per company policy(onsite licensure required) to tarp oversized loads (requires employee to be attached to the ceiling anchor points in a harness)
- Loading units onto trucks using an overhead gantry crane and column lifts
- Cleaning and preparation of units for shipment, attention to detail is paramount.
- Operating basic tools-drill, impact, circular saw
- Moving large skids (46’x16’) skids to assist with optimal operation efficiency
- Clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials to eliminate possible hazards
- Assist other production teams as needed
- Participate in 5S, Lean, and efficiency initiatives as appropriate
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, weekends as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull equipment up to 50 lbs
- Must be highly motivated
- Must be able to work Cohesively with a team
- Familiar with using tools and general warehouse equipment preferred
- Relevant work experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing preferred
- Following safety guidelines and operating in a safe manner
