Position Overview

Primary Responsibility: Must be able to plan, lead, organize, and control the day to day operations of the warehouse support functions such as purchase order requisitions, indirect material, managing departmental spend and vendor management. Regarded as subject matter expert in SAP, 5S, Standardized work, Safety, and cross skills training. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead daily sourcing/purchase support requirements and long-term planning budget restraints.
  • Analyze proposals and negotiate the best price, service, and delivery terms for purchased products and services.
  • Perform sophisticated financial and cost analysis for projects and financial justifications.
  • Assists in training employees and resolving problems.
  • Ensure compliance of all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Conducts weekly cost review meetings.
  • Complete daily reports as needed and do so in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain cross skills training matrix, 5S, Standard Wok and BBS audit log and schedule.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in analytical tools and such as Microsoft Suite and SAP.
  • Must have a solid understanding of logistics processes and materials.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems, processes, and requirements.
  • 3-5 years of high a volume distribution center experience is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, college degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate well within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and results oriented.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 lbs.


High School Diploma
Trade School in Finance or Business
