Job Overview
Systems Control in Iron Mountain, MI (A Hubbell Inc. Company) is hiring for a Production Assistant, where you will support our operations teams in our world-class manufacturing facility.
A Day In The Life
- Read and clearly understand wire diagrams, notes on wire diagrams and QC-18s
- Create label/engraving deliverables for production
- Order label/engraving materials and keep inventory
- Maintain label/engraving equipment, change consumables, cleaning, and light maintenance
- Update the EE map and EE board map and/or production board daily and organize priorities accordingly
- Work with Project Managers with diagram discrepancies
- Work with production on structure of label/engraving deliverables
- Create instruction Manuals/ prepare CD’s/ update network programs / keep Manuals inventory/ Keep Weekly/Daily Manual deliverable schedules/manage supplies
- Attend and host meetings as needed to keep methods and standards current
- Assist in other tasks as needed to help drive improvements or other production support
What will help you thrive in this role?
- High School Diploma
- Experience in panel wire would be helpful but not required
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have strong typing skills (both speed and accuracy)
- Effective time management and ability to multi-task
- Strong computer skills, to include MS Office and data entry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work accurately under pressure with short deadlines
- Quick problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt and change quickly as priorities shift
