Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Systems Control. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in supply chain and logistics. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for supporting daily transportation operations, including preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs), tracking and tracing shipments, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. This is an onsite position in Iron Mountain, MI.
A Day In The Life
- Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documentation
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any transit issues
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery confirmations, and freight invoices
- Assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries with freight carriers
- Monitor and update transportation management systems (TMS)
- Support the logistics team with administrative tasks and reporting
- Identify and escalate delays or discrepancies in shipping processes

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Prior logistics or transportation experience is a plus, but not required
