Job Overview

The Enterprise Strategy and Planning Lead drives IT strategy and enterprise planning through strong partnership with business leaders. This role focuses on strategic alignment, portfolio planning, and facilitation, ensuring technology investments support business priorities and long-term objectives.

As a trusted advisor and connector between business and IT, the role translates business strategy into clear technological direction, designs and leads enterprise planning programs, and enables informed, executive-level decision-making—without a focus on hands-on technical execution.

A Day In The Life

  • Develop and maintain enterprise technology and capability roadmaps.
  • Align IT initiatives with business objectives and corporate strategy.
  • Drive enterprise IT strategy and planning efforts that align technology investments with business priorities and long-term corporate objectives.
  • Design and facilitate annual and quarterly planning cycles, ensuring alignment across business and IT leaders and clarity on priorities, outcomes, and investment direction.
  • Guide enterprise-level portfolio planning and prioritization, helping leaders evaluate initiatives based on strategic value, business impact, and risk.
  • Lead and support executive governance forums, steering discussions, framing options, and enabling informed decision-making across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise roadmaps that clearly articulate priorities, sequencing, and dependencies; communicate these plans effectively to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Foster collaboration across teams and functions, breaking down silos and ensuring shared understanding of enterprise priorities and commitments.
  • Facilitate annual and quarterly technical strategy and planning cycles.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or technology planning.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and governance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or IT strategy development, multi-year roadmaps, and investment planning processes aligned to business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to partner closely with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and shape technology direction that delivers measurable business value.
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and sustaining planning and governance programs, such as annual and quarterly planning cycles, prioritization frameworks, and cross-functional alignment forums.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, business-focused insights.
  • Comfortable leading through influence and collaboration, coordinating across teams and functions to drive alignment and outcomes.
