Job Overview

Hubbell is looking for an IT QA & Release Governance Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining standardized quality assurance and release management practices across the IT organization. This role ensures alignment with enterprise policies, ITIL best practices, and promotes consistency, compliance, and efficiency in software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic enabler, driving governance and process maturity without direct execution responsibilities.

A Day In The Life

Quality Assurance Governance:

  • Define and enforce standardized QA processes across product teams.
  • Audit test coverage and adherence to automation guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain testing standards and best practices.
  • Provide enablement and oversight for QA activities; execution and script development remain with product teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Enable industry standard KPIs and bring roll up visibility at an organization level
  • Continuously improve the QA Governance process.

Change and Release Management:

  • Design and implement a standardized release process, guidelines for core applications.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and ITIL frameworks.
  • Define and govern code repository structures and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor release activities to ensure smooth & compliant deployments and report release metrics.
  • Continuously improve the Release Management process.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT governance, QA, or release management roles.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and release processes.
  • Experience with ITIL practices and enterprise change management.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and code repository platforms (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-functional alignment.
