Position Overview

Individual will coordinate and schedule manufacturing of product to assure on-time delivery to customers, within current ISO requirements, safety requirements, and housekeeping requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and schedules manufacturing of product to assure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Works closely with the Materials Manager and Plant Supervisor to coordinate production schedules including the monitoring of material deliveries and adjusting or rescheduling production as necessary.
  • Communicates daily with the Materials Manager and Plant Supervisor concerning work center loads, capacities, lead times, problem areas.
  • Assists in scheduling the flow of materials, components, and product between plants to meet production schedules.
  • Issue of work (shop) orders daily to the factory floor per the established schedules.
  • Communicates production information daily to Sales/Customer Service personnel through continuing updates of the shop order notes.

Skills and Experience

Must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and meet the physical demands to successfully perform the essential function of this job.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or physical ability required. At CMC’s discretion, exceptions to these can be made to accommodate individual circumstances.  

Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or GED preferred.  Must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions and prior experience reading manual calipers.  Employee should be familiar with current ISO requirements and with engineered drawings.

Language Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and written.

Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills are required.  Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide.
