Job Overview

The CNC Machine Operator operates and monitors computer-controlled machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to specifications. This role ensures quality standards are met through accurate measurements, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. 

A Day In The Life

  • Read and interpret CNC prints, understanding dimensions down to .000 inches for precision manufacturing
  • Use calipers and other measuring tools to verify part accuracy and maintain quality standards
  • Complete required documentation, including quality forms and daily inspection reports
  • Operate and maintain hand tools such as air guns, wrenches, and drill presses to support machine operations
  • Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and maintain efficient workflow
