Position Overview

The Senior Payroll Operations and Employee Service Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of employee payroll tasks for Exempt and Executive employees in partnership with the Managed Services Provider. This includes processing and analyzing reports according to established schedules maintaining all data required for legal, tax or audit purposes according to established department processes. Responsibilities also include handling service inquiries from employees, managers, and business-unit stakeholders to provide information and timely resolve issues.  The Senior Payroll Operations and Employee Service Specialist may also have responsibility over review and audit of other processors and their work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a reliable and collaborative lead team member, partnering with other payroll associates and functional business partners to achieve desired results.
  • Manage workload and processing deadlines to ensure payroll is accurate, complete, timely, and in compliance
  • Analyzes and resolves data discrepancies between HRIS and payroll database systems
  • Review, correct, and approve data inputs; Analyze pre- and post-payroll audit reports to identify and correct pay errors.
  • When applicable, process approved off-cycles or ACH payments as requested
  • Provide support to the garnishment process, partnering with managed services where required.
  • Comply with all audit requirements and internal controls; and maintain process documentation.
  • Function as Subject Matter Expert with regard to all aspects of time and payroll system functionality, as well as policies and procedures.
  • Provide employee support regarding personnel records, time input, earnings, deductions, and taxes.
  • Support HR Operational Services, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Finance colleagues with all requests.
  • Ensure Confidentiality, Data Privacy, Data Security and SOX requirements are met at all times.

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years multi-state payroll processing, 5000+ EEs
  • ADP GlobalView and SuccessFactors Experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
  • Demonstrated understanding end-to-end pay processing
  • Experience processing NQDC, Dividends, Stock Vesting, SARS, Relocation, Hypo Tax, Executive Perqs, etc. and W2 reporting
  • Payroll Team Supervision Experience
  • Microsoft Office |Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Flawless attention to detail; exceptional data entry
  • Proactive in response and issue resolution
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills with a focus on synthesizing information, using sound judgment, formulating conclusions, and articulating data in a way that is meaningful and valuable to stakeholders and customers  
  • Exceptional time management skills, prioritizing and multi-taking
  • Integrity and trustworthiness specific to confidentiality and privacy of employee information; absolute confidentiality of all payroll records

Education

Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
