Position Overview

The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for configuration, job scheduling, master data integration, and CPI-DS integration with the deployment of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) modules across Hubbell. These activities are performed by the Senior Systems Analyst as a critical team member within the Hubbell IT organization. These activities are primarily focused on the IBP Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization, S&OP, and Control Tower modules. The Senior Systems Analyst will also participate in the planning and managing of continuous improvement opportunities and testing as it relates to SAP S4 HANA releases and IBP Quarterly upgrades.

The Senior Systems Analyst must possess a strong technical knowledge of SAP IBP and be able to provide leadership and support to others who are also supporting IBP. The Senior Systems Analyst must have strong customer service skills striving to establish positive relationships with the end user community.

The Senior Systems Analyst also demonstrates the following key competencies:

  • Ensures that all activities related to IBP are identified and assessed.

Duties and Responsibilities

IBP Implementation

  • Interact with Global Operation Leader and IT Manager in order to develop and draft detailed implementation project plans with detailed tasks for IBP module implementations.
  • Works with various Supply Chain Leaders and Global Operation Leaders in order to prioritize process improvement initiatives, Projects, System enhancements and Break Fix support issues.
  • Key figures configuration and all relevant configuration items required in a planning area
  • Ensures appropriate documentation for all activities pertaining to Implementation of IBP configuration, IT project tasks, and support tickets.
  • Recommends and assesses design solutions and alternatives using IBP functionality.
  • Identifies functional gaps and resolves resolutions.
  • Creates and handles internal work tickets and SAP tickets as needed.
  • Provides the technical implications of specific requirements or IBP solutions.
  • Leads the integration aspects of the business requirements and proposed solution(s).
  • Strong ability to work with Business on defining requirements to align and support processes in IO, S&OP, Demand Planning and Control Tower

Skills and Experience

The Senior Systems Analyst should have the following technical skills:

  • In depth knowledge of key figure configuration and all relevant configuration items required in a planning area
  • Experience on the IBP Modules (Demand, Inventory, Control Tower, S&OP, Response and Supply, Demand Driven replenishment)
  • Experience on configuration in IBP (Time Profiles, Planning Area, Planning Levels, Attributes, Master Data, Attributes as Key Figure, Key Figures)
  • Experience on creation/use of Planning Filters
  • Experience on Job Template Creation/Job scheduling
  • Experience on upload data through Data Integration
  • Experience on creation of Tasks/Processes in CPI-DS (Master-Data/Transactional-Data upload from S/4HANA)
  • Experience on Planning Views/Templates creation in the IBP Excel Add-in
  • Experience on Export/Import configuration between the IBP Systems/Planning Areas
  • Experience on creation/use of Planning Operators (e.g. COPY, DISAGG, Snapshot/Redo-Snapshot)
  • Experience on configuration/use of Lag-Based Snapshot Configurations
  • Experience on Submitting Issues to SAP
  • Experience on the use of IBP Best Practices

Other highly desirable attributes for this role are:

IBP certification is a plus

  • Ability to affect changes to Forecasting and S&OP processes through recognized leadership skills and expertise.
  • Detailed knowledge and complete understanding of all aspects of IBP and its integration including CPI-DS (Formerly HCI-DS).
  • Solid ability to work with Business on defining requirements to align and support processes in IO, S&OP, Demand Planning and control tower.
  • Superb communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, or related field, with 5 years or more of experience in a related field, with a minimum 3 years of related IBP experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
