Job Overview
Oversee and coordinate the efforts of all plant floor personnel to meet customer requirements and work center schedules, on time with no defects within current ISO requirements, safety requirements, and housekeeping requirements.
A Day In The Life
- Work as a team and maintain excellent working relationships with all employees, maintaining an effective and open communication with all employees, and encourage employee involvement.
- Achieve productivity gains while improving quality and meeting customer schedules, working towards reducing costs and eliminating waste.
- Provide managerial role in dealing with shop problems and make the decisions necessary to alleviate or remove the problem.
- Maintain good housekeeping and a clean, safe working environment.
- Ensure workers are properly trained and equipped with the right tools to do their job correctly.
- Utilize available resources effectively.
- Assure compliance with company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Perform all related administrative functions effectively.
- Train and motivate workers. Take interest in their jobs and provide clear, simple work instructions.
- Maintain CMC’s commitment to excellence, quality and customer service.
- Supervisor will be responsible for approving the labor tickets of their work area.
- When necessary, may be required to perform setup inspection, make a disposition and document the findings.

- Education and/or experience – High school diploma or GED preferred. Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
- Computer knowledge and keyboard skills a plus.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and write.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills are required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Physical Requirements – The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance, peripheral and ability to adjust focus.
