Division Overview
Hubbell Construction & Energy (HCE) focuses on products to support four business segments: Connectors, Grounding & Tooling, Gas Connectors & Accessories, Harsh & Hazardous, and Distribution. Position Overview

Coordinate the efficient operation of manufacturing activities by performing supervisory tasks, while aligning with current policies and procedures, QMS and safety requirements.

  • Maintain an “issue free” workplace by engaging employees, actively participating in their performance appraisals and support the corporate objectives.
  • Support Lean initiatives including 5S, Kaizen events, and Takt time conformance. Maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
  • Assure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure workers are accurately trained and equipped with the right tools to do their job correctly.
  • Assure all safety regulations are followed and proper safety equipment is utilized and maintained.
  • Achieve efficiency gains while improving quality and meeting customer schedules, working towards reducing costs and eliminating waste.
  • Utilize available resources optimally.
  • Provide supervisory role in taking care of shop problems and make the decisions necessary to alleviate or remove the problem.

Skills and Experience

Manufacturing and tooling experience preferred. Ability to understand and access press dies, drills, taps, and have understanding of machine logic. Capable of trouble shooting machinery as needed to resolve status of repair or maintenance needed.

Language Skills - Good communication skills are key. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and proven geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Experience working with consolidations.


Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Other Skills and Abilities - Must be detail oriented. Must be organized and have the ability and aim to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
