Job Overview

The Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Specialist, Product Data Management (PIM) reports to the Digital Marketing Director and will be responsible for the creation, syndication, and maintenance of product data for websites, trading partner communications and other e-commerce specific needs. Primary responsibilities include learning STIBO Step, Hubbell’s Product Information Management (PIM) system so that they can manage data maintenance projects that consist of enriching, editing, and adding product data. The Specialist, Product Data Management (PIM) will work with product managers/marketers, engineers, developers and our marketing content team to collect, enhance and syndicate product content. This person will ensure projects are on track and work intimately with the teams that support product launches and acquisitions globally.

A day in the life

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and IT, to gather and validate product data.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product information, including attributes, descriptions, images, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain product data models, taxonomies, and hierarchies to ensure proper categorization and organization of products.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards to maintain data integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to identify and resolve any data discrepancies or errors.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to obtain and update product information as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and synchronize product data across various systems and platforms.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on PIM processes and best practices.
  • The individual in this role must bring data management, general business knowledge and actively partner with the business unit teams to help define PIM business and data processes, including challenging the business to think in new ways about how they manage and syndicate product information and assets.
  • Responsible for supporting the business users with their daily STEP activities and resolving issues encountered through the Web UI or other import/export processes
  • Will support STIBO STEP configuration including but not limited to attributes, attribute groups, attribute validity, List of Values (LoVs), categorization (Blue and Yellow), integration points, configuration profiles, etc.
  • Assist in designing/defining transformations, outputs, and business rules within the STIBO PIM system
  • Works with marketing and IT to ensure a smooth interface between backend systems, STEP and external systems to provide online and print catalogs
  • Deliver metrics and analytics on an ongoing basis to communicate overall status of product data health
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, marketing, business, or relevant field.
