Position Overview

The Product Management team is engaged in new product and product lifecycle management. The Model Shop Specialist will support these activities to ensure success in Serving our Customer, Growing the Enterprise and Operating with Discipline. The Model Shop Specialist will lead and coordinate the team’s efforts regarding sample tracking and product installations in corporate trade showroom, or customer showrooms and retail, for specific customer meetings and trade shows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with VP of Brand Mgt and product management team in development and execution of product installation and merchandising efforts in corporate showrooms, trade shows and customer specific environments.
  • Support retail Big Box retail store resets
  • Support sample inventory management and shipments to required locations
  • Support off-site photography shoots, samples management, on-site product assembly and installations
  • Basic electrical wiring understanding
  • Special projects
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Skills and Experience

  • 1-3 years’ work experience with ability to demonstrate capabilities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Mechanical aptitude to assemble and install products including ability to use hand tools and small power tools
  • Ability to read basic drawings and merchandising planograms
  • Must be self-directed and diligent to details and have the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and agility to prioritize multiple priorities at once
  • Ability to communicate well and have forward facing customer interaction
  • Digital literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience within Big Box retail channel is a plus; within store service teams and store resets.
  • Responsible to drive company vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • Ability to travel 35% annual with multiple overnight stays
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Mechanical/Electrical or Machine shop trade school degree a plus.
