Job Overview
Provide and arrange component parts for assembly and press personnel at the work stations to avoid any interruptions in their daily assignments, move and transfer material in orderly manner to insure proper flow of service and operations, while complying with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping standards.
A Day In The Life
- Load, unload, and move material within or near the plant yard or work site.
- Read shop order, inventory tracking tickets, and/or receives oral instructions from a supervisor to move material, parts, boxes, drums, etc. between locations in the plant.
- Constructs or sets up packaging containers.
- Load and unload materials from tables, machines, etc.
- Follows all pertinent safety regulations for self and others.
- Properly utilizes all safety equipment.
- May be required to dispose of scrap in the containers provided and/or move scrap to its proper destination.
- May be required to operate fork lift.
- Be an active participant in maintaining a clean work environment.
- May be required to train any new employee assigned to the area.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
