Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a creative driven professional, looking to gain excellent experience and make an impact within the marketing team at Hubbell Lighting (HLI). This individual will work directly with the Digital Marketing Team to target and strategically build audiences and drive traffic to HLI’s evolving digital platforms. This position will execute monthly marketing, email, digital advertising, and search media plans, all to grow and maintain engaged audiences thru all HLI’s digital channels. This position will also require working with various sales and marketing mediums and coordinating internal digital projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist with managing projects that include the development of digital marketing platforms and tools, including:
    • Product Information Management (PIM, STIBO)
    • Website(s)
    • Content management platform (CMS, Hybris)
    • Marketing Automation (Mailchimp)
    • Analytics (Google Analytics, MailChimp)
    • SEO/SEM (collaborating with internal teams)
    • Digital Paid Advertising (WrdStream, Google AdWords, Social)
    • Learning Management Software (BlueVolt)
    • Data Asset Management (MediaValet)
  • Overall assistance to Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing Teams with planning and execution as well as other duties as assigned
  • Effectively partner with marketing, sales, content, product and client teams to support contact strategies, campaigns and other tactics through all digital channels, including but not limited to Web, SEO/SEM, content marketing, inbound/outbound/display campaigns, social media initiatives, webinars
Collaborate with
  • Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Product Management teams to develop and complete projects and initiatives 
    • Content team to maintain/enhance/expand our social media presence by providing metrics-based recommendations
    • Stakeholders from across HLI to support the creation of optimized content Internal Technology Teams
    • Outside agencies and their vendor partners
  • Assist with measuring and reporting on:
    • End-t-end customer experience across multiple channels and touch points
    • Performance of all digital marketing activities against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Google analytics and other available tools on a regular basis to optimize content and digital performance
    • Engage in keyword research to identify high return keywords for HLI’s landing pages
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize performance based on those insights. Stay informed of the competitive marketplace
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations as appropriate
Skills and Experience
  • Sound understanding of the principles of marketing
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Must possess advanced level social media skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience using marketing automation and other web-based marketing and email software
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personable and develops successful working relationships with others.
  • Minimum 3 years experience coordinating project work in a marketing-related area and/or agency, preferably administering digital-based marketing programs.
Bachelors Degree in Marketing
