Position Overview

In conjunction with assigned field sales region or Customer Segment, the Inside Sales Representative will drive sales through direct account management and Sales opportunity management to meet / exceed assigned sales goals. This position is intended as a developmental opportunity for progression to Field Sales. Currently we are working from a home office until Spring 2021 and associates will be supplied all technology needed to work remote.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Account Ownership – Responsible to drive sales and profitability for assigned regional accounts.
  • Selling - Support revenue attainment for assigned field sales team through driving promotions and growing average unit price.
  • Cross-Sell – Improve cross-sell activities to increase customer spend.
  • Cross – Ability to cross products in order to provide Progress opportunities to win jobs.
  • Opportunity Management - Build, manage, and close assigned sales opportunities.
  • Follow Up – Contact assigned customer base and territories for pre/post promotion communication. Review and follow up on specified range of quotes within territory in conjunction with Field Sales.
  • Territory Management - Develops and maintains positive relationships to support wholesale, contractor, non-single family, and builder market activity with Territory Managers, Strategic Account Managers, and Business Development Managers.
  • Support regional specific priorities as assigned by the Regional Manager and Inside Sales Manager, and reflected in annual business plan (Account Management, Builder Prospecting, Promotion Support).

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Possess good listening and interpersonal skills, as well as energy, passion and endurance.
  • Appetite for driving sales in a competitive environment.
  • Willingness to career progress and relocate for field sales opportunity within 3-years.
  • Ability to travel for meetings up to 10%.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Independent ability to solve problems.
  • Technically strong in all Microsoft applications with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with SAP and Power BI.
