Position Overview

The Sale’s Representative primarily role is leading open projects in your prospective dollar range. The position objective is to assure measurable results in achieving an outstanding end customer experience, for current accounts, and participate in the closure of new national account business. Touch points include, but are not limited to some pricing, specification reviews, customer service order management, pre-sale forecasting, inventory management, post-sale issue resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Quotations- estimated 30% of time allocation
  • Position must be aware large project market pricing levels as well as the specific influences (i.e., competition, strength of specification, strength of relationship)
  • Industry knowledge to support the identification of potential cross-channel conflict issues and ability to execute the needed mitigation strategy.
  • Account Management and Development – estimated 60% of time allocation
  • Develops direct customer relationships with the intention of minimizing day-to-day engagement with the account by the National Account Manager.
  • Requires ability to translate customer requirements and forecasted demand; networking with Supply Chain and Customer Support functions, to deliver on commitments with minimum company investment.
  • You must be able to provide tech support and warranty claims. You will have to work with engineers and tier 1 support staff. Position is responsible in coordinating detailed execution within the organization.
  • Process Improvement - estimated 10% of time allocation
  • Position must be able to craft and implement key account-related process metrics, as well as understanding the root-cause-countermeasure (RCCM) process in evaluating out of tolerance processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated relationship building and customer leadership skills.
  • A proven inventive and creative decision-maker, with a sound analytical judgment skill set.
  • Driven to produce measurable results and continuously improve, strong in data analysis.
  • Digital literacy including SAP or other ERP, MS Office (emphasis on Excel,PowerBI).
  • 2-5 years of direct customer support – project management a plus.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Business or Other
