Position Overview

Responsible for directing the efforts to upgrade our online visual imagery and assets, as well as ensuring they are published to our partner sites. This includes managing outside vendors to create 3D renderings of room scenes. The candidate must understand and be able to edit 3D renderings. The job will require working with the Marketing and Product Management teams on styling and trends. Must be able to multi-task and work on various projects at any given time and produce high quality renderings under tight deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Managing Digital Asset vendors. Need an understanding of the 3D visualization production processes for modeling, texturing, lighting and environment setup, as well as real-time application development, is critical
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure data quality standards are maintained and propose new standards, as necessary. This includes giving creative feedback to vendors and team members. And Adapting the designs based on team feedback
  • Research upcoming projects to help find new ways to create renderings. This sometimes includes developing storyboards to map out how scenes will look and researching lighting to get ideas
  • Develop furniture styles, lighting, textures and material standards to create accurate photo-realistic renders. Create or communicate 3D illustrations and graphics based upon photographs and detailed measurements for scale
  • Work with eCommerce and Product Management teams to overcome hurdles and facilitate timely delivery of assets to our clients
  • Assess, recommend and implement new applications to enhance customer experience and/or maximize revenues
  • Maintain relationship with our external data partners and manage communication between teams
  • Staying up to date with design trends in the lighting marketplace
  • Collaborating with other eCommerce team members and making sure that the best products are being put out onto the market based on sales and opportunities for growth
  • Work directly with the creative managers and designers in the development process to ensure the direction for asset creation
  • Understanding construction, materials and manufacturing process of lighting fixtures is helpful
  • Create or communicate 3D illustrations and graphics based upon photographs and detailed measurements for scale
  • Use creative ways to most accurately represent the products on our website
  • Be able to deliver projects by agreed upon deadlines
  • Being able to work with internal departments and external contractors to create required deliverables
  • Ensure designs meet the budget and time commitments required
  • Provides regular status reports to the team regarding project and work order status
  • Skilled in data-driven decision making to continually optimize and improve content assets and usage
  • Understanding of taxonomy and metadata standards to enhance search functionality

  • Strong project management skills and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to lead, organize and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously
  • Deliver consistently with priorities changing in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Creative and innovative ideas with an eye for detail
  • Strong Communication skills especially with team members who are in a different country
  • Understanding modeling, lighting and texturizing
  • Photography experience a plus
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong communications skills, sound technical knowledge, genuine interest in industry trends and an ability to forge strong internal and external -relationships
  • BA in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or any related field, and 2- 5+ years’ experience. Or any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Familiarity with 3D Modeling techniques such as vertex and pixel shaders.
  • Understanding of CAD software, Revit or other 3D graphics software.
  • Intermediate knowledge in rendering software such as 3DMax, Keyshot or other.
