Job Overview
The role of Director, IT Enablement is a senior level position responsible for maximizing the use of our current applications environment. This role is responsible for finding, evangelizing, and initiating the implementation of available functionality within our SAP ecosystem that would be beneficial for the business. The successful candidate must be an experienced IT leader who is driven by curiosity and the art of the possible. A leader who understands business needs and will work with IT and business leaders to find and implement technology solutions that will bring benefit to Hubbell. He / She should be able to communicate effectively with Hubbell executive level management, possess a deep understanding of our current applications environment, and be able to dig deep within our environment and work with our software partners to uncover untapped technology that would bring benefit to Hubbell. This position reports to the VP, IT Enterprise Platform Solutions.
A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. Your role as an IT leader in this space will be to:
• Create an applications enablement roadmap for Hubbell’s SAP S/4 HANA RISE environment that leverages unused functionality to drive automation and streamlined processes
• Effectively partner with leaders across business functions and IT to create the enablement roadmap (Global Operations, One Hubbell Finance, HUS, HES, IT Business Technology, IT Platform Solutions, IT Enterprise Architecture, etc.)
• Be able to effectively communicate and influence this roadmap across all levels of the organization from the Corporate and Segment executive levels down to the mid management and individual contributor level
• Effectively partner with business functions and IT for seamless execution of enablement roadmap projects such as an enterprise solution for ship and debit, sales commissions processing, global available to promise, real-time data analytics, Fiori utilization, Joule utilization, etc.
• Drive clean core with the elimination of custom code and processing via business process standardization and utilizing standard industry application offerings that are not currently being utilized
• Work to rationalize our current application solution environment
• Manage certain select Enablement projects from kick off to go-live
Key Outcomes
• Completion and acceptance of an applications solution roadmap across all business functions
• Prioritized and approved enablement projects that have been vetted through the ITBP and PMO process
• Prioritized and approved clean core projects that have been vetted through the ITBP and PMO process
• Successfully managed implementations
• Further rationalized application landscape
• Business value from successfully implemented enablement driven initiatives
What will help you thrive in this role?
• 10-20+ years of progressive experience in the ERP applications space, including at least 5 years in an SAP S/4 HANA environment (required)
• Extensive leadership experience, including 10+ years managing organizations, setting strategic objectives, overseeing budgets, and being accountable for achieving enterprise goals (required).
• Full understanding of SAP S/4 HANA functionality across all business functions (required -Fiori/Joule a plus)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (required)
• Ability to partner, influence, and build strong internal and external relationships (required)
• Strong desire and ability to mine information from partners, vendors, and internal resources (required)
• Significant experience with process re-design in an SAP environment (strongly preferred)
• Track record of implementing technology solutions that brought benefit to functional processes (required)
• Experience with CMDB and application rationalization (strongly preferred)
• Project management experience (required)
• BS in Computer Science, Information Science, or related major concentration (required)
