Position Overview

The Channel Marketing Manager - Trade is responsible for the development and execution of our Builder and Showroom Channel specific marketing plans including new product go to market strategies, curated product assortments, displays, promotions and advertising. The position will leverage data to analyze and discover insights and identify opportunities that will drive profitable growth for Hubbell and our customers.  This role will be responsible for creating and managing key business development initiatives focused on helping Progress Lighting gain traction incremental share with home builders, multifamily developers, and professional in the lighting and ceiling fan industry.


Position can be remote if within driving distance of Greenville, SC location.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform gap analysis to determine areas of strength and opportunity to grow our business with competitive insights and trends for product categories, styles, finishes, maturity and price points.
  • Participate in business proposal reviews with SWOT analysis, value proposition development and product assortment recommendations that drive sales and improve profitability. 
  • Partner with internal marketing communications and content development team to leverage owned and earned marketing channels to create brand awareness and support customer growth initiatives. 
  • Execute promotional strategy to capture incremental demand during customer events. 
  • Track and report out on effectiveness of different activities and initiatives in order to improve overall ROI. 
  • Monitors market shifts and positioning to remain informed and takes appropriate action to ensure market position is maintained. 
  • Participate in and attend industry tradeshows to evaluate competitive products, monitor industry trends and represent the brand. 
  • Partner with the customer’s marketing teams and to drive brand awareness through different distribution channels. 
  • Develop modular and creative displays to provide inspiration and increase conversion in the selling process. 
  • Develop strategy for new marketing tools to support product launches and work with the creative marketing team to develop product collateral. 
  • Participate in business plan reviews with sales and marketing managers to establish new market opportunities as well as identify existing market challenges.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to identify and implement growth initiatives within our current product portfolio as well as expansion areas. 
  • Understand P&L objectives to make sound business plans in order to drive top and bottom lines for your channels. 

Skills and Experience


•    4-7 years product or channel marketing experience 
•    Consumer package goods, home improvement or building products experience 
•    Experience with Salesforce preferred
•    Experience with PowerBI or Tableau and POS Data required



Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business
