Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The Wildlife Mitigation Business Unit (WMBU), part of HPS, provides engineered turnkey animal mitigation solutions, innovative products, technologies and services, all designed to improve our customers power systems reliability and profitability.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Specialist, Stations Outage Prevention with the WMBU in the North East (Maine, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont) The successful candidate will focus on achieving WMBU sales forecasts within territory. The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ of solution or consultative selling in an electrical, control, power distribution sales setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accountability to achieve sales forecasts and targets within a territory.
  • Experience in developing strategic territory and account specific planning.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships within the Power and Utilities industry.
  • Deliver value-based propositions and business case presentations to substation and distribution decision makers at various levels at a customer
  • Participate in tradeshows.
  • Report weekly on sales pipeline activities.
  • Establish and firm scope collaboratively with customer.
  • Work effectively with internal teams to communicate with customers on the solution lifecycle.
  • Experience with team selling strategies and working in a matrixed selling organization
  • Utilization of social selling strategies with various social media platforms

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years’ solution selling in an electrical, control, power distribution sales setting
  • Proven rack record of sales growth success
  •  Highly driven and results focused
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM reporting systems – i.e. Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Personal and wiling to work in a 100% team atmosphere

Education

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
