Position Overview
The Data Reporting Analyst position in the Sales Support team is responsible for delivering data and reporting solutions that empower our sales organization to grow the business and track performance to quota. Additionally, this position will also help develop customer-facing data products that will drive increased revenue.
You’ll be working directly with all levels of the sales organization to build bridges between technology and organizational goals. Some key insights generated will include performance to targets, forecasted performance, opportunity pipeline analysis, market growth factors, and more.
Success in this role requires an exceptional understanding of Microsoft Power BI and related technologies with intermediate level DAX and Power Query skills. In addition, having a basic understanding of coding logic as well as being familiar with other tools such as SQL. Having curiosity and drive to creatively solve complex problems is essential. The position also requires the ability to develop deep cross functional relationships and collaborate with users of your solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise scale sales order, quote, opportunity and sales commissions reports to support the reporting and analytics community
- Synthesize multiple sources of data (Point of Sale, SAP, Salesforce, External market metrics) to provide a holistic view of sales performance and opportunities.
- Automate routine reporting tasks and help move the organization to a more mature data culture.
- Help vertical market and strategic account teams identify opportunities
- Coordinate tasks and plans to support all aspects of customer incentive program (PIP) implementation and reporting
- Create data driven solutions using Power BI/Microsoft Fabric to support business needs
- Responsible for ensuring that Quarterly and Monthly Commission Reports are accurate, on-time, and clear.
- Coordinate and implement any adjustments needed
- Work with team members to update ETL scripts to improve data accuracy
- Develop external facing reports for customers and third-party sales representatives.
Core Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Knowledgeable in programming languages
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Power BI Workspaces
- Practical Microsoft Power BI report building experience
- Intermediate skills for data extraction: DAX, SQL Power Query (M) and/or Excel
- Experience with creating, maintaining and extracting data from multiple data sources
- Comfortable developing, maintaining, and implementing process improvements to Power BI reports
- Comfortable with maintaining existing complex reports and semantic models.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Exceptional judgment with a demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively present, train, and communicate with all staff levels and technical backgrounds
Additional Stills and Experiences that are a Plus
- Masters or MBA degree
- Experience with Git source control
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI Report Builder (Paginated reports)
- SAP experience
- Microsoft Fabric exposure
- Experience building semantic models with Power BI
