Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The Salesforce Administrator works as part of a team dedicated to maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on benefits of the system based on user group needs. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and system changes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Hands-on Administration

  • Gather Business Requirements working directly with end users at all levels.
  • Perform Hands-on Configuration in alignment with enterprise strategy, change management and deployment processes as needed.  
  • Implement new products and packages within Salesforce and communicate updates throughout the company.
  • Systems integration capabilities with 3rd party plugins.
  • Understand all aspects of configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including changes and potential system implications.
  • Have or aspire to achieve certifications to ensure understanding of latest offerings.  
  • Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other objects and functions.
  • Maintain, enhance and create workflows, functions and configurations within the environment.

Maintain System, Security and Integrity

  • Map hierarchy and territories in response to personnel changes.
  • Reassign Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities in response to personnel changes.
  • Grant/ remove and maintain user licenses.
  • Maintain security including sharing rules and security levels.
  • Design, Create and maintain user roles, profiles and hierarchies.
  • Monitor application storage usage and archive data as needed.

User Assistance, Training, Adoption and Satisfaction

  • Create and administer training to existing or new users/groups.
  • Expand use of – attend planning meetings, assist with determining if /how can be used in new ways as opposed to purchasing a new internal system.
  • Communicate regularly with user base regarding new features, enhancements and changes to the system.
  • Monitor usage and mentor users/groups needing assistance.

Data Quality, Migration and Maintenance

  • Monitor and manage exception logs for back end system integration with SFDC.
  • Monitor and improve data quality.
  • Support process development for data integrity by merging duplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts; performing mass uploads and updates of data as required; Removing unnecessary fields and data; ensuring screens, fields and workflow have accurate names


  • Support template development of dashboards.
  • Create and maintain reports including folder maintenance.
  • Develop complex, macro driven reports to summarize system information for Senior and Dashboard
  • Build and manage report folders for reps to improve sales efficiency.

Skills and Experience

 A system administrator needs a solid understanding of the organization’s business. They must have solid skills and ideally, understand the general concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Most importantly they should be proactive, organized and logical.


  •           Minimum expectation of a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/experience
  •           3 to 5 years of Salesforce administration experience
  •           Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools including standard reporting functionality
  •           Detail oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
  •           Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  •           Proven ability to utilize as a sales analysis tool
  •           Team player with positive “Can-do” attitude
  •           Great communication skills with enthusiastic personality
  •           Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
  •           Strong problem-solving skills, data and software applications


Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Information Systems
