Division Overview
Hubbell Commercial & Industrial (HCI) provides solutions for a broad range of non-residential and residential construction, commercial and industrial applications along with high-voltage test and measurement solutions. As a leading global manufacturer and supplier in multiple markets, we have quality products that serve the commercial construction, datacom, industrial light, industrial heavy, high voltage, residential and oil & gas markets. Responsible for overall management of the tool room including the development, performance and the preventive maintenance system of the stamping tools and progressive dies. Supervise the task assigned to the tool room technicians related to the preventive and corrective maintenance. Tooling & die design experience, provide support to the engineering department on product and tools changes. Supports Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Production departments on orders related to fixturing, manufacturing tools and gauges. Participate on cost reduction projects and opportunities for improvement. Document control of preventive maintenance records of product tools. Perform tooling functional test.

Supervisor Tool room

  • Supervise tool room technicians for preventive and corrective maintenance to stamping tools and progressive dies
  • Keeps the maintenance control records of each die, progressive tools, and welding fixtures
  • Perform tool design and work with external tools suppliers to achieve engineering requirements
  • Support tools design changes by engineering department
  • Perform preventive maintenance to the tool room machinery
  • Work with opportunities for improvement to reduce production downtime related to the stamping tools
  • Detect opportunities to improve product quality and to reduce process scrap
  • Coordinate spare parts fabrication
  • Document work instructions for tools maintenance, safety, and equipment operation
  • Create weekly and monthly reports from the department
  • Perform and document tool room technicians training
  • Apply 5’S and lean concepts
  • Empower safety activities and LOTO system
  • Develop and update tooling drawing using AutoCAD or other related design software


Minimum experience of two years on tool room management, preventive maintenance, AutoCAD or related software, teamwork, work under pressure, problem solving techniques, knowledge of measurement equipment and drawing specifications, engineering system tolerance, good knowledge on tool room machinery (lathe, milling, grinder, computer skills on MS Office, lean concepts, and leadership.
