Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Duties and Responsibilities

Production Planning - Control superintendent

  • Manages production planning and scheduling on the factory floor from a Master schedule.
  • Tracks all Work Orders issued to the factory floor.
  • Reviews Work Orders with the manufacturing and inventory teams to develop daily schedules.
  • Ensures material availability for current and near-term Work Orders to be processed by the factory floor.
  • Coordinates delivery and pick-up of all materials from supply base and for Outside operations.
  • Ensures production schedule is established for a current and next week forward look to ensure manpower and materials are available and can achieve the plan.
  • Manage and track all backordered materials. Drive backordered materials to a minimum level.
  • Communicate backordered materials and material shortages on a timely manner and communicates delivery dates of these backordered materials.
  • Coordinates on time shipments.
  • Coordinates and enforces Materials Key Metrics such as OTD, BTS, Premium Freight, Supplier Delivery.  

Skills and Experience

  • BA or BS degree
  • Fully bilingual
  • At least 3-5 years of Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing environment.
  • SAP expert (Required)
  • Must be proficient in MS office (Excel).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Can manage people and processes well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has a sense of urgency and the creativity to overcome Scheduling barriers.
  • History of documented, metric-driven success.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot issues and create innovative solutions to problems.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Business
