Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

Human Resources Director leads the HR team that supports both the HUS and HES segments that have multiple business units at the two physical plants in Juarez along with a warehouse. Responsible for 2,500+ nonunion employees and all HR processes with full cycle recruitment, benefits, employee relations and performance management.  Critical leader that supports our business strategy, our business leaders and engages our employees at the highest level.   


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies, company processes, and state/federal employment law
  • Lead the development of people strategies and guide critical decision making with practical, proactive solutions
  • Coaches senior leaders and managers on strategic and complex organizational and employee issues
  • Emulates the OneHubbell mindset with a consistent approach to all HR processes across all businesses
  • Leads and manages our Pay for Performance strategy and performance management system
  • Presents at regular management and quarterly communication meetings with all employees
  • Supports department and company-wide special projects.


Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  MS or MBA is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing role
  • Must be a self-directed, hands-on who consistent exceeds expectations HR Generalist
  • Demonstrated success of leading the HR function in a nonunion environment
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer experience required - SuccessFactors or similar HRIS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
