We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Systems Specialist to play a key role in streamlining our operational workflows and ensuring our systems meet the evolving needs of our business! The Operations Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager by optimizing and supporting the various systems that drive operational efficiency.

A Day In The Life
- Support operation manger by leading/facilitating cross functional projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Identify and analyze system deficiencies or inefficiencies and recommend solutions to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, optimize output, and improve productivity.
- Design/develop systems and process tools to track, analyze, and optimize productivity in day-to-day performance.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers, analyzing equipment performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring effective return on assets.
- Develop tools to aid in demand and capacity planning and assist in review and analysis of sales forecast to strategically leverage available resource capacity.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify root cause and resolve inconsistencies and inaccuracies in MRP and MES reports.
- Demonstrate behaviors and values in alignment with Meramec’s Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement culture.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations with emphasis in system modeling and analysis
- High degree of proficiency in Excel along with other relevant computer skills needed. BI preferred.
- Analytical experience using data to make decisions.
- General understanding of Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies – Green Belt preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both on the plant floor and in executive office preferred.
- Big ERP experience a plus; SAP preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change.
