Job Overview

We are looking for a self-motivated Engineering Graduate with strong basics of Engineering, a target-oriented approach, good communication skills, and the urge for learning new products and processes, to determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Country Of Origin (COO) codes for Hubbell Products.

A Day In The Life

Some of the key responsibilities (but not limited to) are:

  1. Assigning HTS codes for a wide variety of Hubbell products. The process would broadly involve relevant data collection from various systems and sources, understanding the products and its application, and identifying the correct US HTS codes reference to custom rulings, as required.
  2. Analysis of Bill of Materials of products and Tariff shift identification of sub-components in BOM, application of rules of origin under CFR.
  3. Determine the country of origin (COO) for the products.
  4. Update various systems associated with HUBBELL Customs Compliance department.
  5. Meet individual and team’s monthly targets.

 

Internal On-the Job training will be provided related to the process and relevant applications.

What will help you thrive in this role?

•    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 1+ years of experience.
•    Engineering Fundamentals and Broad understanding of Electrical products and components, Drawing reading
•    MS Office
•    Time management, good written and oral communication, team player, fast learner, self-motivated.
•    Added advantage: SAP, PDM Application
•    Added advantage: Understanding of HTS and COO determination process
