Job Overview

The Associate Quality Engineer conducts internal quality controls to ensure established quality procedures and standards are followed. The Associate Quality Engineer conducts routine quality analysis and tests/inspections of a quality control program, where duties and tasks are standardized. This role also monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and standards. This individual prepares standard quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes. This role also records and analyzes customer claims. 

A Day In The Life

  • It is responsible for customer satisfaction
  • Achieving plant quality objectives: customer complaints, dppm, scrap cost
  • Maintaining and improving the plant’s bussiness operation systems
  • Ongoing training on quality preventive controls to direct labor. Qc inspectors and qa tech’s
  • Follow-up iso internal audit program compliance
  • Supplier develop on quality compliance
  • Sense of urgency as a requisit

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Lead efforts to achieve plant quality targets for reduction in customer complaints, warranty cost and dppm’s
  • Lead 8d/corrective action process within facility to ensure rapid and permanent resolution of customer complaints
  • Drive continuos improvement activities usiing statistical data analysis, systemic root cause analysis and effective corrective action plans
  • Develop early production containment plans focusing on inputs/outputs for new transfers impacting positive flawless launch
  • Support all quality sustems and fuctions, such as machine capabilities, process flow, pfmea, control plans measurement systems analysis plans, spc, receiving inspection, tool inspection, supplier development, ppap’s corrective actions and customer contact activities
  • Coordinate the internal audits of the quality management system
  • Help drive continuos improvement activities related to minimizing the costs of non-conformance and improve customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned
